Avantika POV
I stare blankly at the walls of my prison, the weight of my existence crushing me. The once-vibrant colors of my dreams have faded, replaced by the dull, suffocating grey of reality.
My life is a mere whisper of what it once was. The laughter, the smiles, the hopes - all extinguished by the expectations of those around me. My worth is measured by my ability to produce a male heir, a constant reminder that my value lies not in who I am, but in what I can provide.
The memories of my childhood, of my parents' love and encouragement, seem like a distant dream. The fire that once burned within me, the passion and ambition that drove me to pursue my dreams, has been reduced to smoldering embers.
As I sit here, surrounded by the oppressive silence of my in-laws' home, I wonder: Will I ever be free? Will I ever be able to break free from the shackles of societal expectations and forge my own path?
